Vulnerability Scanning
IS&T runs periodic vulnerability scans across campus to identify hosts which have vulnerabilities.
A vulnerability scanner is a computer program designed to assess computers, computer systems, networks or applications for weaknesses. In plain words, these scanners are used to discover the weak points or poorly constructed parts.
Scans will be run campus-wide no less than monthly and in random order.
Specifically, this includes the following networks :
