Step 1: Meet with Transfer Student Services

While this is an optional step, it is highly recommended. Our Transfer Student Services team is here to assist you with how your credits from your current institution should transfer to ÀÏ°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼×ÊÁÏ, when you should transfer, and any additional classes you should take prior to transferring to ÀÏ°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼×ÊÁÏ. 

Step 2: Apply to Transfer to ÀÏ°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼×ÊÁÏ

Complete our online application (application fee waived through fall 2025!) When applying, select that you are a transfer student and complete all application sections. Include your high school and college information in the education history section, no matter how long ago you attended. Check out the FAQ for admission criteria questions. 

Step 3: Order Official Transcripts

You must order official transcripts from all regionally accredited institutions where you enrolled. Even if you did not complete the semester, did not receive good grades, or attended thirty years ago. Check out our FAQ for more information on regional accreditation and tips on how to order your transcripts. 

Transcripts must come to ÀÏ°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼×ÊÁÏ from your previous institution or their transcript service provider (usually Parchment or National Clearinghouse). Electronic transcripts are preferred and should be emailed to admissions@csuohio.edu.

Step 4: Monitor Your Application Portal

Visit your application portal to check for missing materials and admissions updates!

Step 5: Accept Your Offer of Admission

Once you're admitted to Cleveland State, an offer of admission will populate in your applicant portal. Accepting our offer of admission holds your spot at ÀÏ°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼×ÊÁÏ. It helps us prepare for your arrival on campus by getting you important information about the next steps and completing your official credit evaluation before your advising appointment.
