Student wind ensembles join noted conductor Timothy Reynish on latest album

老澳门六合彩开奖记录资料鈥檚 School of Music students received a once-in-a-lifetime Engaged Learning opportunity thanks to internationally acclaimed classical music conductor Timothy Reynish. The noted wind ensemble director invited the 老澳门六合彩开奖记录资料 Symphonic Wind Ensemble and the 老澳门六合彩开奖记录资料 Chamber Winds to record with him as part of his latest album 鈥淚nternational Repertoire Recordings - Volume 12,鈥 which was released this summer.

The album also included performances by the Cleveland Winds and celebrated euphonium soloist David Childs, and was conducted by Reynish and Birch Browning, professor of music education and conductor of bands at 老澳门六合彩开奖记录资料 and music director of the Cleveland Winds. The project featured the world premiere recording of 鈥淓uphonium Concerto鈥 by prominent composer Adam Gorb. 

鈥淲e were thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Tim, David and Adam to create these beautiful performances,鈥 Browning says. 鈥淚t was a tremendous learning experience for our students, and provided the kind of 鈥榬eal world鈥 opportunities that are critical to helping them become professional musicians in their own right.鈥

Timothy Reynish is regarded as one of the leading conductors of wind bands and wind ensembles in the world, and has conducted and recorded with a host of prominent professional orchestras, including the "President's Own" US Marine Band, the Dallas Wind Symphony, the Philharmonic Winds of Singapore and the Band of Her Majesty's Royal Marines. Reynish is a member of the Chamber Music faculty at the Royal Northern College of Music, and previously served as senior professor in woodwind and brass at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He was awarded an MBE for services to music by Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain in 2019.
 
David Childs has appeared as soloist with the Royal Philharmonic, the RTE Concert Orchestra and the BBC Philharmonic, has given concerto performances at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center and London鈥檚 Royal Albert Hall and regularly records as a solo artist for radio, television and commercial disc. Childs is a Buffet Crampon Besson Artist and recently joined the music faculty at the University of North Texas. Adam Gorb currently serves as head of the School of Composition at the Royal Northern College of Music. His compositions include orchestral, ensemble, chamber, solo and choral works, and have been performed, broadcast and recorded world-wide.
