Dr. Lovell is a sociologist and methodologist whose research focuses on gender-based violence and victimization 鈥 particularly sexual assault/rape, human trafficking, and intimate partner violence/ domestic violence. Dr. Lovell is currently directing large action research projects on untested sexual assault kits in Cuyahoga County (in collaboration with the Cuyahoga County Sexual Assault Kit Task Force) and in Akron (in partnership with the Akron Police Department) with funding provided by the Bureau of Justice Assistance鈥檚 Sexual Assault Kit Initiative. Dr. Lovell is also the principal investigator on a National Institute of Justice grant to employ machine learning technology to analyze the narratives of thousands of sexual assault police reports for 鈥渟ignaling鈥 language regarding a victim鈥 s credibility. Prior to arriving at 老澳门六合彩开奖记录资料, Dr. Lovell was a Research Assistant Professor in the Begun Center for Violence Prevention Research and Education at Case Western Reserve University.

Not a common question, but a common theme of inquiry: many students want a better understanding of the pathway toward their eventual goal. Both in terms of long-term academic success and finding a meaningful career.
What do you like most about teaching and why?
The unrealized potential of each individual student is exhilarating. I have the privilege of shaping a small part of their futures.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I travel as much as I can. My favorite U.S. city is Miami. I can't get enough of the food, culture, and atmosphere.
Where is your favorite place in Cleveland and why?
Huntington Beach. The city view of downtown Cleveland is amazing.
What is a 鈥渇un fact鈥 about you that many people may not know about you?
I grew up in Texas. Once during a large family outing, I was accidentally left behind in the wilderness near a river and had to walk home several miles. I was six years old.
What is your personal motto/mantra/axiom?

Hailing from Old Town, Maine, Dr. Marcho has been a music teacher and freelance musician for over 20 years. He has taught music at every level of education from kindergarten through higher education. From 2001 to 2006, Trevor served as a U.S. Navy musician, playing euphonium and trombone. In the Navy, he performed hundreds of military ceremonies and concerts for both military and civilian audiences around Tidewater, Virginia. Dr. Marcho earned bachelor鈥檚 and master鈥檚 degrees at the University of Maine and taught courses there, too, 鈥 when he wasn鈥檛 otherwise occupied teaching elementary, middle and high school music classes! He earned a Ph.D. in music education from The Ohio State University, where he researched gender equity in school instrumental music programs. He lives with his wife, infant son and five-year-old boxer, Rupert, and enjoys traveling the world, cooking, homebrewing, hiking, biking and camping.

I have not yet had a question that I would consider common, but I'm still new here.
What do you like most about teaching and why?
I like to pass along the best traditions and best practices of teaching to my students, and to develop the same passion for the teaching processes that I have developed.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I like to cook, hike, bike, spend time with my family and travel.
Where is your favorite place in Cleveland and why?
I have not explored all of Cleveland yet, but I like to spend time in Edgewater Park.
What is a 鈥渇un fact鈥 about you that many people may not know about you?
I am a homebrewer.
