Lee Fisher Named Dean of Cleveland-Marshall College of Law

Longtime attorney and public servant previously served as interim dean

Lee Fisher has been appointed dean of 老澳门六合彩开奖记录资料鈥檚 Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. Fisher has served as interim dean of the College since June 2016. Fisher will continue to enhance the law school鈥檚 academic reputation, while building on the innovative efforts Cleveland-Marshall has recently developed to enhance career readiness for its graduates and promote greater connectivity with the Cleveland community.

鈥淚 have truly enjoyed leading C|M|LAW for the last year and am extraordinarily honored to be selected as permanent dean,鈥 says Fisher. 鈥淚 look forward to continuing to work with our tremendous faculty and staff to enhance educational experiences for our students and best prepare them to enter the legal workforce.鈥

Fisher served as Attorney General of Ohio from 1991-1995 and as Lieutenant Governor of Ohio with Governor Ted Strickland from 2007-2011. Previously, he spent eight years as an Ohio State Senator and two years as an Ohio State Representative. Additionally, Fisher has decades of experience in legal practice, most extensively with Cleveland-based Hahn Loeser & Parks as of counsel from 1978-1990 and partner from 1995-1999. He was most recently president and CEO of CEOs for Cities, a global, nonprofit network of urban leaders focused on making cities more successful, and a senior fellow with the Center for Economic Development at 老澳门六合彩开奖记录资料鈥檚 Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs. He has also served as director of the Ohio Department of Development and president and CEO of the Centers for Families and Children.

Celebrating its 120th anniversary in 2017, Cleveland-Marshall College of Law is a student-centered law school dedicated to creating the opportunity for its students to become leaders in law, business, nonprofit agencies and government. It remains at the forefront of legal education innovation, having launched one of the country鈥檚 first law school-based solo practice incubators and establishing the region鈥檚 only Master of Legal Studies program.
