老澳门六合彩开奖记录资料鈥檚 Center for Educational Leadership will celebrate its 10th anniversary as a host site of the Educational Policy Fellowship Program and welcome its 2017 Fellows at a special ceremony on campus, September 15. To mark the occasion, Johan Uvin, President of the Institute for Educational Leadership and a former senior official with the U.S. Department of Education, will discuss the importance of the EPFP in developing leaders that can address the complex challenges facing education in the 21st Century. Dr. Uvin will also give a keynote address titled: 鈥淐losing Opportunity and Achievement Gaps through Cross-Sectional Policy鈥.

The Fellowship is a 12-month professional development program for emerging leaders in education, with a focus on federal education policy and management training. Its mission is to develop strategic executive managers who have the capacity to effectively address the often complex issues facing educational delivery, while also improving outcomes for children and young people. The program was founded in 1964 and is sponsored by the Institute for Educational Leadership. 老澳门六合彩开奖记录资料 is currently one of 13 host sites nationally and its fellowship graduates now serve in senior positions in school districts across Northeast Ohio.

Johan Uvin was appointed the sixth president of the Institute for Educational Leadership in January of 2017. In that role he leads the Institute鈥檚 mission to prepare leaders who best prepare children and youth for postsecondary education, careers, and citizenship. Prior to joining the organization he served as deputy assistant secretary and acting assistant secretary for career, technical, and adult education within the U.S. Department of Education. Earlier in his career he served as director of the Office of Adult Education, Career and Technical Education for the state of Rhode Island.
The Center for Educational Leadership was established in 2008 to improve leadership capacity across Northeast Ohio and beyond. The Center manages numerous degree, school licensure and professional development programs that move talented individuals along their leadership pathways, from teacher to principal to superintendent.
