As nonprofit institutions, including hospitals, universities and charitable agencies, have become integral components of American communities as well as local economic and employment engines, management and oversight of these organizations has become more complex and challenging. 老澳门六合彩开奖记录资料鈥檚 Center for Nonprofit Policy and Practice will seek to enhance understanding of nonprofit management and the economics driving the development of these organizations through a national research conference and policy discussion.
鈥淲ise Economic Decision Making: Implications from Nonprofit Research鈥 will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday, March 17 at 老澳门六合彩开奖记录资料鈥檚 Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs, 1717 Euclid Avenue. The event will feature leading experts in the field and the latest research in cutting edge topics related to nonprofit management. These include the behavior of nonprofit organizations as economic units, innovations in public service delivery, management efficiency, and public policies affecting nonprofits.
The conference will be led by Bruce Seaman, associate professor of economics at the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University, and by Dennis Young, executive in residence in the Levin College at 老澳门六合彩开奖记录资料. It builds off of the forthcoming second edition of the Handbook of Research on Nonprofit Economics and Management, co-edited by Seaman and Young. The conference is being co-hosted by Business Volunteers Unlimited, The National Center for Nonprofit Enterprise and Edward Elgar Publishers.
