Designed for students who are underrepresented in medicine and interested in a career in urban primary care, this certificate program gives you the foundation to gain acceptance to, and ultimately excel in medical school. Students who are admitted to the program complete an undergraduate Urban Health Certificate (minimum of 19 credits including eight credits of urban health, eight credits of clinical science and three credits of professional development courses) while also completing the science prerequisites needed for medical school.

The program integrates a Graduate Urban Health Certificate into the Master of Health Sciences curriculum, offering courses in urban health and clinical science. Students also participate in professional development courses to enhance critical analysis skills. The certificate program consists of 16-19 credit hours.
